Local businesses sponsor a number of the racing marks (or buoys) in the Carrick Roads and Falmouth Bay. The marks are laid at the beginning of the racing season, and during Falmouth Sailing Week and regular Club racing the sponsors' names are used to identify the buoys to the competing crews.
